Another month, another set of tracks for you to check out. I hope you enjoy these tunes! This month, there are a little of mix ups in terms of what I usually put in, but I hope you enjoy it nonetheless.
A slight administrative note, I recently got Spotify and really like it so I will also build lists in Spotify as well (which you can follow here) but I'll try to stick to SoundCloud for now while also providing Spotify links where I can.
As always, here are my highlights:
Panic Attack by Rococode (Spotify link) has an amazing video (seriously, check it out here) and is also a bit of fun. I caught these guys live at the Drake Underground and fell in love with this song, There's something about the way the song is put together (that drum and bass stuff) that speaks to me.
Wasted Youth by Sody & Martin Luke Brown (Spotify link) really drew me in with how mellow it is and its climax. The duet in the second chorus speaks to my inner choir nerd, and both their voices are just heavenly.
Flargrant (fest. Ymtk) by Elujay (Spotify link) has a killer intro hook that got me - the muted trumpet draws you in. Then BAM, the song just goes and goes. The harmonic pads with the bass keep you there and the song just builds on more elements that turn into something smooth.
Cold to the Touch by RALPH (Spotify link) just has the right mix of synth and drums for the perfect sound that reminds me of tunes from the 80's. I love the way the entire song is put together a lot, not to mention the lyrics are really good as well.
Lowlife by That Poppy (Spotify link) is an odd one. I like the track itself, but I find the artist fascinating in a weird kind of way. Just look at her youtube videos... I think you'll get it - if not, here's a link to check out!
