Here's another playlist as summer wanes and gives way to fall. This month's got a good mix of beats and mellow tunes, with a flash of the heavy 80's synth sound I love. Below, as per usual, are my highlights if you prefer a sample of the playlist.

  • Sunshine by Tom Misch just has something great going on that makes me want to move. I hope you find it makes you move side to side too.

  • We Won't by Jaymes Young & Phoebe Ryan is a collaboration I've been excited to share for a while. These two artists are amazing on their own, and I was so stoked when they announced this one. It's been out for a bit, but in case you missed it, here is their duet for your listening pleasure!

  • Temple by WILDE is great. These hometown darlings are wicked live. This is one of their newer singles, and it's spot on. Check it out!

  • Hold On by Roosevelt features a driving beat, awesome production and a great vocal line. What more could you ask for?

  • Do It by Tuxedo is a classic, I couldn't help but put this jammer on the list.

  • Not Love by photocomfort lands as a relatively chilled out tune for this month, but the voice just floats above a really awesome mix of guitar and synths.

  • Old School by Bee's Knees has everything I want. I can't get enough of this track's awesome saxophone lick. It's pretty darn groovy.

  • Sleeping Alone by Mieke is another awesome tune straight from Toronto, Mieke's newest is ethereal and charming in its own way. Reminds me a bit of Lana Del Ray, though I'm not sure that comparison does Mieke justice.

  • Summer Dress by July Talk is an oldie but goodie. This song features really great driving guitar and makes you want to move. Besides, summer's almost over so I had to put this one in.

  • Walks All Over You by Catey Shaw is the newest from Catey Shaw. This one really showcases her awesome pop. If you haven't checked her out before, I'd highly recommend it!
